Antibes

Antibes, the 2400 years old town is located between Nice and Cannes in the Côte d'Azur.  It's original name was "Antipolis", which means the "city across". According to two different theories, it can refer to Nice, or Corse, as the city across. Due to its naturally protected port, Antibes has long been an important trading centre with it's huge english community. There are many yachting harbours which provide moorings for a range of ships ranging from fishing vessels to full sized yachts. Some of the interesting things to see are the "Port Vauban" (the largest marina in the Mediterranean Sea, also known as a "platform of billionaires), the "Fort Carré" (the squared fort), the "Picasso Museum" in the Château Grimaldi, the "Marineland of Antibes" (which is one of the biggest in the world), the Provençal market in the old town, or any of it's beautiful botanical gardens or beaches.

Paris - Nice 2012

The 2012 Paris–Nice is the 70th running of the Paris–Nice cycling stage race, often known as the Race to the Sun. It started on 4 March in Dampierre-en-Yvelines and end on 11 March in Nice. It consists eight stages. It is the second race of the 2012 UCI World Tour season.
I made this video in the 7th stages, which was on the 10 March 2012, from Sisteron to Nice. The distance is 219.5 km. The winner of this stage was Thomas De Gendt from Belgium with 5h 11' 48". However, the english Bradley Wiggins is still the winner in the General Classification after Stage 7 with his time: 27h 53' 04".

A 2012-es Párizs-Nizza a 70. futás a Párizs-Nizza kerékpáros versenyen, amit gyakran neveznek "Verseny a Naphoz"-nak. A futam március 4-én kezdődött Dampierre-en-Yvelines-ben és március 11-én fejeződik be Nizzában. A verseny 8 szakaszból áll. Ez a második futam a 2012-es UCI World Tour szezonban.

If you are interested about marine science, and by chance you are in Monaco, I would recommend you to visit the The Oceanographic Museum, which is home to exhibitions and collections of various species of sea fauna (starfish, seahorses, turtles, jellyfish, crabs, lobsters, rays, sharks, sea urchins, sea cucumbers, eels, cuttlefish etc.)

Bay of Villefranche - A Villefranch-i öböl

Villefranche sur Mer is one of the most charming authentic French and Niçoise fishing village on the French Riviera, in the heart of the Cote d’Azur.
The Bay of Villefranche, reputed as one of the five most beautiful bays in the world, is embraced by the Cap of Nice on the right and Cap Ferrat on the left. The charming Old Town of Villefranche cascades down the hillside to the sea, and the sandy kilometer-long beach offers great recreation throughout the year. From the map you can see that Old Nice is just 3 kilometers away, Monaco is 7, Nice airport is 10, Antibes is 15 kilometeers away, and Juan les Pins and Cannes just beyond that. St Paul de Vence, Vence and Grasse are also just a few kilometers, and the border to Italy just 15 kilometers. There is so much to do here it is hard to know where to start. Maybe you want to just relax, enjoy the beach, sit in a café or bar and take in the beautiful scenery and fun scene. Or maybe you want to enjoy the French lifestyle, cuisine, delicious produce and wine, shop in the local markets, live the village lifestyle — and get healthier and trimmer while eating and drinking to your hearts content. Or maybe you want to do some sightseeing and take in some of the magnificent walks and sites the area has to offer. I like to sail there and spend a few days in the bay on our boat, swim a bit, fish a bit, visit the old town, some restaurants, and wake up early to see the magnificent sun rise.

Van, aki csak pihenni szeretne, és élvezni a tengerpartot, vagy beülni egy kávézóba vagy bárba, élvezni a francia konyhát, a finom borokat, vásárolni a helyi piacokon, élvezni a falusi életmódot. Van, aki a városnézést választaná, és az sem unatkozna, aki szeret hatalmas sétákat tenni, hiszen ez a hely rengeteg látnivalót kínál. Mivel én szeretek vitorlázni, összekötöm a kellemeset a hasznossal, és néha eltöltök néhány napot az öbölben, úszom egy kicsit, pecázok egy kicsit, sétálgatok az óvárosban, élvezem a finom francia ételeket egy-egy éttermekben, és próbálok korán felébredni, hogy láthassam a csodálatos napfelkeltét.
