Antibes

Antibes, the 2400 years old town is located between Nice and Cannes in the Côte d'Azur.  It's original name was "Antipolis", which means the "city across". According to two different theories, it can refer to Nice, or Corse, as the city across. Due to its naturally protected port, Antibes has long been an important trading centre with it's huge english community. There are many yachting harbours which provide moorings for a range of ships ranging from fishing vessels to full sized yachts. Some of the interesting things to see are the "Port Vauban" (the largest marina in the Mediterranean Sea, also known as a "platform of billionaires), the "Fort Carré" (the squared fort), the "Picasso Museum" in the Château Grimaldi, the "Marineland of Antibes" (which is one of the biggest in the world), the Provençal market in the old town, or any of it's beautiful botanical gardens or beaches.

Antibes, a kb. 2400 éves város Nizza és Cannes között található  a Francia Riviérán. Eredeti neve "Antipolis" volt, ami "szembelevő várost" jelent. Két különböző elmélet szerint , ez Nizzára, vagy Korzikára vonatkozhat. A természetesen védett kikötőnek köszönhetően, Antibes régóta fontos kereskedelmi központ, több ezres angol közösségével. Sok vitorlás kikötővel rendelkezik, melyekben halászhajóktól kezdve hatalmas méretű jachtokig minden megtalálható. Néhány érdekesség, amit érdemes megnézni: a "Port Vauban" (a legnagyobb kikötő a Földközi-tengeren, más néven a milliárdosok platformja), a" Fort Carré "(a négyzetes erőd), a" Picasso Múzeum "a Grimaldi kastélyban, a "Marineland Antibes" (ami az egyik legnagyobb a világon), a provence-i piac az óvárosban, vagy akár valamelyik gyönyörű botanikus kert vagy strand.
